Davis Police arrested a man on Friday night after an argument in a South Davis home turned physical.
Sgt. James MacNiven said the police were summoned around 6 p.m. when a juvenile male victim, 16, called to report that the male adult of the home placed his hands around the juvenile’s neck. The victim, who is not named due to his age, said he got dizzy during the physical confrontation, although he did not require medical attention.
The male adult was arrested, MacNiven said, for what amounts to felony child abuse under the statutory definition. As of Saturday night, he was lodged at the Yolo County Jail and had not posted bail.
