A 21-year-old Woodland man faces sexual assault charges after confronting two women Thursday night and early Friday, Woodland police said.
Sgt. David Krause reported that a suspect approached a woman in her car at about 11:30 p.m. in the parking lot of Sycamore Pointe Apartments, 521 Pioneer Ave., asked for sex and exposed himself. He held the car door open as the woman tried to close it, then walked away when she was able to secure herself inside the vehicle.
About 90 minutes later, a second woman reported that a man asked her for sex in the Denny’s parking lot on East Main Street, Krause said. The woman refused and got into her car, and the suspect reached in the open window put his hand down the woman’s shirt. She was able to drive away.
Both women offered similar descriptions of the man, whom police found walking near Bourne and Gillette drives, Krause said. Christian Garcia was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of indecent exposure, sexual battery and false imprisonment.
