Woodland police are investigating two armed robberies that occurred just hours apart earlier this week.
A 14-year-old boy reported being robbed at gunpoint at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Alice and East streets. The suspect demanded the boy’s property and ordered him to run away, Lt. Anthony Cucchi said.
The teen ran several blocks to his home and called police, Cucchi said. He described the suspect as a Hispanic male in his late teens, 5-foot-8 with a medium build, unshaven face and wearing jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt.
A similar incident was reported at about 10:30 a.m. Monday at AAA Self Storage on Dr. Claassen Way, where an employee of the business was robbed by a suspect who brandished a handgun and demanded money.
Police described that suspect as a 25-year-old Hispanic male with a dark mustache, wearing tan pants and a black jacket with a hood.
Photos of the suspect and a possible female associate, taken from security camera at a neighboring business around the time of the robbery, have been posted on the Woodland Police Department’s Facebook page.
The couple may be driving a white sedan with front-end damage that prevents the hood from closing properly.
No arrests had been made in either case as of Tuesday evening. Anyone with information about either incident is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at 530-661-7800.
