Davis police arrested a maintenance worker Wednesday after he allegedly threatened a resident of the apartment complex where he works.
Deputy Police Chief David Delaini said the alleged victim was in the parking lot of the East Eighth Street apartment complex at about 8:40 a.m. and saw the suspect inside the victim’s second-story apartment, destroying a window sill.
“Once the suspect noticed that the victim was looking at him, he began yelling profanities at him and then exited the apartment, apparently to accost the victim, while having an ax in his hand,” Delaini said. “The victim retreated into his apartment and the suspect then attacked the victim’s vehicle and the stucco wall of the victim’s apartment with the ax.”
Officers arrived on scene and arrested the suspect, identified as Russell James Felos, 35, of Davis. He was booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of making criminal threats.
