Davis police arrested a San Francisco man Sunday night for allegedly prowling in the backyard of a Rice Lane home.
The investigation began shortly before 10:30 p.m., when police received a call reporting than an unknown person was in the backyard of a home in the 200 block of Rice Lane, Lt. Glenn Glasgow said.
Glasgow said the man, identified as 40-year-old Eric Hackman, was arrested after being detained by the home’s resident, who described the prowling activity as an “ongoing issue.” Glasgow said officers are looking into whether Hackman is connected to any past incidents at the home.
