A rash of violence plaguing Woodland continued Wednesday night with a pair of stabbings in which several suspects remain at large.
Sgt. Brett Hancock said officers were dispatched shortly after 9 p.m. to the Casa del Sol mobile home park, 709 East St., to investigate what initially was reported as an altercation involving a firearm. When they arrived, they discovered that two 21-year-old men had been stabbed with a knife, and no guns were involved.
Witnesses reported that four suspects were involved in the incident and fled in a vehicle prior to police arrival. They remained unaccounted for as of Thursday, Hancock said.
Both victims were treated on the scene for their wounds. Hancock said the assault is being investigated by the Yolo County Gang Task Force, which also continues to seek the suspects in a pair of fatal shootings that occurred last week, neither of which is related to the stabbings.
