Woodland police say excessive speed and poor weather may have played roles in a crash early Sunday morning that injured two 17-year-old boys.
Both teens remained in critical condition as of Tuesday, Sgt. Brett Hancock said.
According to Hancock, police and firefighters were dispatched at about 12:45 a.m. to northbound Pioneer Avenue near Farnham Avenue, where a white Acura Integra had crashed into multiple trees on the east side of the roadway.
The force of the crash caused major damage to the car, and both teens were transported by ambulance to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment of their injuries, the nature of which were not specified.
Hancock said both teens were wearing seat belts when the collision occurred.
