Two would-be robbers walked away empty-handed after a Woodland merchant refused to hand over his loot, according to Woodland police.
Sgt. Steve Sexton said two armed, masked men entered Hollywood Market, 1321 College St., at about 10:20 p.m. Thursday, threatening the store owner and demanding money. But when the owner armed himself with a metal pipe, the suspects left on foot.
Police searched the area but found no sign of the men, described only as wearing dark clothing and ski masks. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at 530-661-7800.
