California Highway Patrol officers arrested two people this week for allegedly carrying marijuana in their vehicles.
Dallas Miles Blue, 46, of Fall River, was contacted at about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Dunnigan rest stop along soutbound Interstate 5, where officers investigating an odor of marijuana discovered about a pound and a half of the drug inside Blue’s Chevy Suburban, Officer Bryan Konvalin said.
Blue was cited for the marijuana possession, as well as a $500 warrant for a prior loitering arrest.
Several hours later, officers pulled over a vehicle whose driver was speeding on southbound I-5 near County Road 102 in Woodland. Officers reported smelling marijuana during the 12:15 a.m. traffic stop and searched the vehicle, allegedly finding a quarter-pound of the drug, controlled substances and a loaded firearm, Konvalin said.
The driver, 51-year-old Christina Eve Jones of Lakehead, was booked at the Yolo County Jail.
