Two Yolo County men face prison time after admitting to a series of residential burglaries, several of which occurred at occupied homes, District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced last week.
Louis Scott Campos, 26, of Winters; and Love Davis III, 28, of Woodland; both pleaded no contest Feb. 23 to six counts of burglary, vehicle theft and burglary of a trailer. The crimes occurred between Dec. 23, 2014, and Jan. 17, 2015, in Winters, Woodland and rural Yolo County, starting after Campos was asked to watch his neighbor’s home while the family was on vacation.
Reisig said the pair stole vehicles, ATVs, electronics and other valuables, sometimes in broad daylight and while the residents were at home. They were arrested by Yolo County sheriff’s deputies following an ATV chase across muddy farmland.
Both men are expected to be sentenced to eight years and eight months in state prison at a March 21 hearing before Yolo Superior Court Visiting Judge Stephen Mock.
