An alert citizen helped Davis police nab two suspected car burglars Tuesday night.
Lt. Tom Waltz said the witness called police shortly before 8 p.m. to report the burglary in the parking lot of the Target store on Second Street. He said he heard breaking glass and observed two people removing a desktop computer from a nearby vehicle.
He provided police with descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle, as well as their license-plate number. The information was forwarded to members of the Police Department’s Special Assignment and Focused Enforcement (SAFE) team, which tracked the vehicle to a West Sacramento address.
Daisey Maria Reber, 32, and Gina Marie Anderson, 27, matched the witness’ descriptions and were arrest on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy. Officers recovered the stolen computer, Waltz said.
