Davis police arrested two Woodland men Tuesday morning on suspicion of stealing a pair of cars from their hometown.

Lt. Ton Phan said a citizen phoned in a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the 2200 block of Amador Avenue and provided information that led officers to believe the car had been stolen. When they arrived on scene, they discovered a second vehicle that also had been reported stolen.

Two men who were in the area, Jimmy Adrian Talavera, 37, and Douglass Goodwin, 27, were determined to be responsible for the thefts, according to Phan. They were taken into custody and booked into the Yolo County Jail.
