Jurors in the Susan Hoskins murder case ended their fourth day of deliberations Tuesday without yet reaching a verdict.
Hoskins, 60, is accused of fatally shooting her husband, Bryan Hoskins Sr., on Aug. 3, 2014, during an argument in the kitchen of their Knollwood Drive condominium in Woodland.
Yolo County prosecutors are seeking a first-degree murder conviction, saying Susan Hoskins, frustrated with her troubled marriage, shot her husband intentionally and with reckless disregard for human life. Hoskins’ attorneys say their client was a battered women who acted in self-defense when Bryan Hoskins came at her in an alcohol-fueled rage.
Deliberations resumed at 9 a.m. today in Yolo Superior Court. The jury received the case at about 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
