A Sacramento man reported being kidnapped and robbed in his own vehicle Tuesday morning in Woodland, police said.
According to Sgt. Aaron Delao, the man told officers he had left his Woodland workplace at about 2 a.m. and was at the intersection of East Main Street and County Road 102 when two men stopped his vehicle and forced their way inside. He believed one of them was armed with a gun, but said he never saw a weapon.
The suspects ordered the man to drive to Sacramento, and later to West Sacramento, where they left the vehicle after taking a small amount of money from the victim and walked toward an unfamiliar neighborhood, Delao said. The victim then drove to his home, where he reported the incident to police.
Delao said both suspects wore dark clothing, gloves and ski masks, which prevented the victim from getting a more detailed description of them.
The incident remains under investigation, Delao said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Woodland Police Department at 530-661-7800.
