Law-enforcement officers descended upon the El Macero neighborhood Wednesday afternoon to search for two suspects in an attempted residential burglary.
No arrests were reported as of that evening as a result of the search, which began at about 3:15 p.m. when a Yolo County sheriff’s deputy interrupted the burglary attempt at an undisclosed location. The suspects then fled to the east, and at one point were spotted running along a trail near Marden Street and Dresbach Way.
With the assistance of Davis police, sheriff’s officers established a perimeter and conducted a search that also involved a police K-9 and an allied agency’s helicopter.
Sheriff’s officials described the suspects only as two black male adults. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office at 530-666-8282.
