Davis police arrested a man on stalking charges Monday.
Lt. Ton Phan said the suspect, identified as 30-year-old transient Shaun Loughney, had been stalking the female victim around her apartment, where she returned Monday to find a threatening message believed to be from him.
The woman called police, who found Loughney on scene when they arrived and took him into custody, Phan said.
