A man reported being the victim of a strong-arm robbery Sunday afternoon in Mace Ranch, Davis police said.
According to Lt. Ton Phan, the victim was walking in the area of Oceano Way and Del Valle Place at about 1:45 p.m. when a car pulled up and the passenger asked for gas money. The suspect asked to make a phone call, then grabbed the victim’s cell phone and pushed him to the ground before fleeing the scene.
Phan described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, about 5-foot-10 with a thin build. Two other white males were in the car, a dark green, older-model four-door sedan with faded and chipped paint and tinted windows. The license plate number ended in either 196 or 169.
