Davis police arrested a 28-year-old Fairfield man on multiple weapon and drug-related charges Thursday.
Sgt. Ariel Pineda said officers received a report shortly after noon of a man acting erratically at the Starbucks on Lyndell Terrace in West Davis. The man left the scene on bike, but was spotted a short time later in the area of Russell Boulevard and Anderson Road.
Officers made contact with him, and “during that contact he was seen with a possible handle of a firearm in the waist of his clothing,” Pineda said, adding that the man continued to act erratically but complied with officers’ demands
Rhico Melvin David Reid, who according to Pineda has a prior felony conviction, was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, as well as carrying a loaded, concealed firearm and being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Yolo County Jail.
