WOODLAND — The attorneys for a Woodland woman accused of murdering her infant son requested another court delay Monday to allow time to review the voluminous amount of evidence they’ve received in the case.
Yolo Superior Court Judge David Rosenberg granted the continuance, ordering Samantha Lee Green back to court on May 11 for a pre-hearing conference.
Green, 23, faces murder and child-endangerment charges in connection with the Feb. 24 death of 3-week-old Justice Rees, whose body was found on the bank of a Knights Landing slough the following day.
Also in court on May 11 will be Frank Rees, Green’s fiancé and Justice’s father, who was arrested on unrelated drug charges during the investigation into the baby’s death. Both have pleaded not guilty.
