Between 8 p.m. Saturday and 3 a.m. Thursday, the Davis police deployed officers for a total of 12 hours specifically to target suspected drunken drivers.
During that time, those officers made 23 vehicle stops, evaluated three drivers for possible DUI and took one driver into custody for suspected DUI. Patrol officers not assigned to the DUI efforts stepped up their efforts and also made three other DUI arrests, police reported.
There were no reported alcohol-related collisions during this time period.
