A Sacramento man was sentenced to three years, eight months in prison last week for his role in a beating outside a downtown Davis restaurant, the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office announced Tuesday.
Franklin Sone Wesley, 23, was convicted at trial of assault, battery and resisting arrest in connection with the May 25, 2013, incident outside KetMoRee on G Street, where authorities said an unprovoked Wesley attacked another man and kicked him in the head, rendering him unconscious.
Wesley and several of his friends also thwarted two good Samaritans who tried to aid the victim — knocking one unconscious as well — and threatened a police officer during his arrest, according to the DA’s office. He was sentenced Friday by Yolo Superior Court Judge David Reed.
