A Woodland resident had to flee early Sunday morning after their home was damaged by a fire.
The fire broke out at about 1 a.m. in an attached storage room at the 70 W. Main St. residence, which was “well-involved” when crews arrived on scene, Woodland Fire Department Battalion Chief Greg Robinson said. Firefighters, with aid from the Davis and Willow Oak fire departments, were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread to the rest of the single-story home.
Although the house was occupied when the fire began, no injuries were reported, Robinson said. Crews are still investigating the cause of the fire, which caused an estimated $25,000 in damage.
The American Red Cross is assisting the displaced resident, Robinson said.
