The Woodland California Highway Patrol is seeking the public’s help in returning some money to its rightful owner.
According to Officer Bryan Konvalin, a private citizen found the large amount of cash — the exact total was not disclosed — near the Dunnigan rest stop along Interstate 5 and turned it over to the CHP on Jan. 15.
Anyone who lost the money on or around that date is encouraged to call the CHP at 530-662-4685. To collect, the owner must be able to provide details such as the amount, number and denominations of the bills, as well as a description of the container they were found in, Konvalin said.
