A routine vehicle stop early Thursday led to an arrest and the recovery of a stolen car, Davis police said.
Lt. Tom Waltz said during a 1 a.m. stop of a Ford Expedition in the 4600 block of Second Street the officer spotted what appeared to be drug paraphernalia in plain view in the front seat area. The officer detained the driver, 40-year-old Trevor Ryan Todd, who had a felony warrant for his arrest.
A further check of the vehicle revealed it had been reported stolen out of Sacramento, Waltz said. Todd, a transient, was lodged at the Yolo County Jail on vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine and for the outstanding warrant.
