Two teenage boys from Woodland were arrested after allegedly stealing a vehicle from outside the owner’s West Davis home, police said.
Shortly after receiving the 11:20 p.m. theft report, officers spotted the car on West Covell Boulevard and made a vehicle stop at County Roads 99 and 25A, Davis police Lt. Glenn Glasgow said. Two boys, both age 16, were taken into custody — one on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle and driving without a license, the other for allegedly possessing a stolen vehicle and petty theft.
“The Davis Police Department would like to urge all of its residents and visitors to be vigilant in locking their vehicles and removing personal property from within the vehicle, especially the vehicle keys,” Glasgow said.
