A West Davis home was the subject of police activity over the weekend after someone reported finding signs that the garage was being used as an illegal alcohol distillery.
Officers were summoned at 10:20 a.m. Saturday to the home in the 2700 block of Tiber Way, where a caller reported finding “suspicious items” in her garage, including a pressure cooker, copper coil and plastic tub of clear liquid, according to police reports.
“Due to the nature of the items, the Yolo County Narcotics Task Force was called as well as Environmental Health,” Lt. Glenn Glasgow said Monday. “During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the contents located within the garage of the residence were not associated to narcotics manufacturing but to alcohol distillation.”
No arrests were made, but the incident remains under investigation by Davis police, Glasgow said.
