Scooter boy victim of hit-and-run

A 12-year-old Davis boy was the victim of a hit-and-run Friday, when he was clipped by a black car while crossing the street on his scooter.

Around 6 p.m., the juvenile was crossing E. Eighth Street on his Razor scooter heading south on H Street. As he crossed, a black four-door sedan came over the tracks just east of H Street, heading west, and struck the boy in the middle of the street.

The boy suffered injuries to his forehead and feet and was taken to Sutter Davis Hospital by his mother. The license plate of the vehicle was not identified.
