Three people were hospitalized Friday following their involvement in separate crashes, the Davis Fire Department reported Monday.
Fire crews used “jaws of life” equipment to extricate an 88-year-old woman from her car, which collided with another vehicle at about 3:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Covell Boulevard, Fire Department spokeswoman Evelyn George said. The woman, who was rendered unconscious from the crash, was transported to the Kaiser hospital in Vacaville.
One person was injured when their vehicle rolled several times at County Roads 101A and 29 at about 5:50 p.m., resulting in the temporary closure of the railroad tracks in that area, George said. The driver was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento.
The third crash involved two vehicles that collided on eastbound Interstate 80 at County Road 32B shortly before 11 p.m. George said one person was hospitalized at the Med Center with unspecified injuries.
