Several people were hospitalized Thursday following separate accidents in downtown Davis, according to the Davis Fire Department.
The first occurred at Third and I streets, where a car struck a bicyclist shortly after 3 p.m., fire department spokeswoman Evelyn George said. The bicyclist was taken to Sutter Davis Hospital with unspecified injuries.
Several hours later, two pedestrians were injured in the F Street parking structure when a driver hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, hitting the two people as well as several cars, according to George.
The pedestrians were taken to Sutter Davis Hospital with moderate injuries following that incident, which occurred shortly before 7 p.m.
