Davis police detained three teenagers and arrested one last weekend following an alleged burglary on the Holmes Junior High School campus.
Lt. Art Camacho said one of the teens somehow was able to gain access to the gym of the Drexel Drive school at about 3 a.m. Saturday. Once inside, the trio allegedly tried breaking into various rooms by smashing windows on the doors. A witness noticed the activity and called police, who confronted the youths as they were leaving the area.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Shea Simone Delaney of Woodland on charges of burglary, drug possession and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The other teens, both 17-year-old Davis residents, were released to their parents’ custody, Camacho said.
