Winters police arrested a Woodland man and two teens — confiscating multiple firearms in the process — following reports of a gun-brandishing incident in Davis.

According to a Winters Police Department Facebook post, the agency was notified at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday of the brandishing that occurred between the occupants of two vehicles near the Davis Arts Center. Davis police provided a description and license-plate number of one of the cars.

“A records check showed the vehicle was registered to a Winters resident in the 600 block of Snapdragon St. Winters PD officers responded to Snapdragon Street and saw the vehicle enter the neighborhood at a high rate of speed,” the Facebook post said.

Officers conducted a high-risk vehicle stop, detaining an adult and two juveniles from the vehicle. A subsequent search of the car allegedly revealed two loaded handguns, a revolver with the serial number removed and one spent shell in the cylinder, and a semiautomatic handgun with no serial number — known as a “ghost gun.”

Jeremy Nguyen, a 20-year-old Woodland resident and reportedly a validated Norteño gang member, was booked into the Yolo County Jail on multiple charges including felony possession of a concealed, loaded and unregistered firearm; removing a serial number from a firearm; committing a crime while released on bail; and gang enhancements as well as two misdemeanor counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, police said.

The juveniles, Winters residents ages 15 and 17, were lodged at Yolo County Juvenile Hall on charges including possession of a concealed, loaded and unregistered firearm; removing a serial number from a firearm; and gang enhancements. The older teen also faces misdemeanor counts of reckless driving and driving without a license, police said.
