Davis police arrested a 32-year-old man on battery charges Thursday after he allegedly struck another man in the head.
According to online police reports, the victim told officers the suspect approached him from behind in the 1900 block of Anderson Road and hit his head before fleeing into a nearby apartment complex. It was unclear whether the two men knew one another.
Officers responding to the incident found the suspect nearby and took him into custody. Philip Almasco Collins was booked in to the Yolo County Jail.
