Davis police arrested a Sacramento man Tuesday on suspicion of threatening another person with a gun in a northeast Davis neighborhood.
According to the Davis Police Department’s online police log, a witness called dispatchers shortly before 6 p.m. to report that a woman had been talking to a man in a pickup at Donner Avenue and Bidwell Street when another man pulled up in a vehicle, pulled out a handgun and threatened the man in the truck.
Detectives and officers from the Community-Oriented Policing and Problem-Solving (COPPS) team launched an investigation that led them to a residence the area of 21st Street and 63rd Avenue in Sacramento, where with assistance from the Sacramento Police Department investigators searched the house and arrested a suspect in the Davis incident, according to a police Facebook post.
Ramiro Gonzales, 41, was booked into the Yolo County Jail on charges of criminal threats, brandishing a weapon, stalking and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, police said. Officers reported seizing a loaded, unregistered gun from the residence.
