Davis firefighters work the front line of the Mineral Fire, a wildland blaze burning southwest of Coalinga in Fresno County since July 13. A strike team comprising five engine crews and a leader from multiple Yolo County fire departments has been assigned to the incident, which as of Tuesday evening had burned nearly 30,000 acres and was 70 percent contained. Cal Fire reassigned the strike team Tuesday to the Gold Fire burning near Susanville in Lassen County.
