A man found himself under arrest twice in a single day last week after several alleged acts of arson and vandalism, according to the Davis Police Department.
Franklin Anthony Christopher, a 40-year-old transient and parolee, was taken into custody shortly after 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of Research Park Drive after being recognized as a person caught on security video lighting two fires near a Chevron station in that area two days earlier, Lt. Art Camacho said.
Christopher was still at the jail Wednesday night when Davis officers returned to arrest him again, this time in connection with a vehicle vandalism that occurred Tuesday outside the USDA Forest Service research station, also on Research Park Drive, which Camacho said was caught on video as well.
