Davis firefighters battled a first-alarm fire that damaged a residential fence and shed Thursday.
Battalion Chief Roland Pussich said the blaze started shortly before noon in the back yard of a home in the 1400-block of Drake Drive, southeast of Highway 113 and Covell Boulevard, where fire crews were able to limit it to the yard area.
“There was no extension into the house, but it did scorch the side of the house,” Pussich said. No injuries were reported, and the residents were not displaced.
The fire’s cause remains under investigation, Pussich said.
