A 16-year-old Davis girl remained unaccounted for Saturday afternoon, nearly two days after her family reported her missing Thursday night, according to the Davis Police Department.

Olivia Sozio went missing at about 5 p.m. Thursday, police said in a Facebook post. She spoke to friends around 6:30 p.m., and her family filed a missing-person report at 9 p.m.

“We love her and we miss her, and we just want her to come home,” Olivia’s mother, Candace Sozio, said in a brief phone interview Saturday. She said her daughter has not been in touch with her family since she left.

Police said late Friday morning they believe Olivia is associated with a white 1997 Toyota Corolla with the California license plate number 3WPK057, which was seen traveling on Cowell Boulevard at about 3:30 a.m. Friday.

The car, which is registered to Olivia’s parents, has numerous stickers on its bumper and trunk lid, as shown in photos released by the Police Department on Saturday.

Investigators received reports of sightings Friday in midtown Sacramento and in Winters, but Olivia’s whereabouts still had not been determined as of that evening, Lt. Mike Munoz said.

Olivia is described as a white female with blond hair and blue eyes, 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing jeans, a gray and blue plaid button-up shirt, and wore her hair in a French braid.

“Her family as well as the Davis Police Department are concerned for Olivia’s safety,” police said in an alert issued Friday via social media.

Anyone with information about Olivia’s whereabouts or has seen the vehicle is urged to contact Munoz at 530-747-5427.
