The California Highway Patrol is investigating a solo vehicle crash that killed a man in Esparto late Thursday morning.
Officer Rodney Fitzhugh said the collision was reported shortly before noon in the area of Omega Street south of Plainfield Street, where officers arrived to find the crashed Toyota pickup and a male driver who had died at the scene.
Yolo County coroner’s officials were still seeking the man’s family Friday morning and had not released his name. An autopsy is planned to determine his cause of death. Meanwhile, anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the Woodland CHP office at 530-662-4685.
