Davis police cited a local man for battery last weekend following his alleged altercation with staff at Sutter Davis Hospital.
Malik Daniel Worsham Sr., 42, turned violent when staff attempted to remove him from the hospital premises at about 2 a.m. Saturday, Lt. Art Camacho said Tuesday. He reportedly had refused to leave after being discharged earlier that night.
“During the incident, Worsham is suspected to have struck security personnel multiple times with his fists and knees and, furthermore, to have bitten them,” Camacho said. Officers arrested Worsham on a misdemeanor battery charge, then booked and released him with a notice to appear in court.
