Davis fire and police units are on the scene of a reported structure fire at the University Retirement Community in West Davis.
Online dispatch records show multiple fire units were dispatched to the 1515 Shasta Dr. facility at about 9:30 a.m. Police said via Twitter that residents were evacuated into another portion of the building as firefighters investigated the small blaze, and no injuries were reported.
Davis police reported it to be a small fire between the ceiling and the floor above the skilled nursing area. All residents were evacuated safely into another part of the building and there were no reported injures.
“Fire is under control and salvage operations are underway,” the Davis Fire Department reported on its Instagram page.
