Davis police arrested a 33-year-old local man early Thursday morning after allegedly finding him with drugs, weapons, burglary tools and personal information that didn’t belong to him.
According to a Davis Police Department Facebook post, officers observed the man — later identified as Davis resident Erik Bryon Scott — sitting inside a dumpster enclosure at about 2 a.m.
“When the officers attempted to make contact, the subject fled on foot. A few minutes later, dispatch received a call from a concerned citizen stating a man was sitting outside her apartment door” in the 1400 block of West Covell Boulevard, the post said.
Officers arrived on scene and detained the man, who was determined to have a felony warrant out of Sacramento, according to police. A subsequent search reportedly revealed several ID cards and personal information in other people’s names, a set of brass knuckles, a three-inch blade hunting knife, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, and burglary tools including a wire cutter, a black face mask, gloves, a black beanie, a black flashlight and miscellaneous tools.
Scott was booked into the Yolo County Jail.
