A high-risk vehicle stop by Davis police on Cowell Boulevard led to a partial shutdown of a nearby Kaiser clinic Tuesday afternoon, the police department reported on social media.
“Today’s high risk vehicle stop was triggered by suspicious activity brought to DPD’s attention,” the agency reported on Twitter at about 4:30 p.m. “One suspect was arrested on a felony warrant. Officer is still investigating on scene, but the arrestee has been transported.”
Police noted that the vehicle stop was unrelated to the Kaiser clinic, which is located in the 1900 block of Cowell near Drew Avenue. The clinic’s reopening time was unknown, though it typically closes at 5 p.m.
