A Davis woman is among three suspects arrested last week following an investigation into a countywide series of thefts and burglaries, the Yolo County Sheriff’s Office announced Monday.
On Friday, deputies and officers with the Yolo County Ag Task Force, Yolo County Special Investigations Unit, the Sheriff’s Office and the Woodland Police Department served two search warrants — in the 400 block of West Street in Woodland and the 33000 block of County Road 24 in unincorporated Yolo County, sheriff’s Lt. Matt Davis said.
According to Davis, the warrant services led to the recovery of about $150,000 worth of stolen property including vehicles, trailers and farm equipment. Property was recovered from thefts reported out of unincorporated Yolo County, Woodland, Davis and Winters.
Samantha Schonewise, 25, of Davis; and Woodland residents William Cole, 30, and Jorge Ramirez, 53; all were arrested on charges of theft and possession of stolen property, Davis said. Additional possible suspects related to this case are under investigation.
