Davis police are seeking a man who punched a fellow bar patron early Thursday morning, leaving the victim hospitalized.
Lt. Glenn Glasgow said officers responded at about 1:40 a.m. to reports of a verbal argument in progress in the 200 block of G Street. The confrontation was between one man and a group of four males, one of whom lunged at the other man and punched him, causing him to lose consciousness.
The group was last seen running northbound on G Street, Glasgow said. The victim, a 21-year-old Davis resident, was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento with moderate injuries.
Glasgow described the assailant as a Latino male, 20 to 25 years old, standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds, last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and brown shorts. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
