Davis police are seeking information about a man who sexually battered a teenage girl Friday night in South Davis.
Lt. Glenn Glasgow said the 17-year-old girl was walking westbound on Cowell Boulevard near Koso Street at about 9:55 p.m. when a man ran up to her from behind and grabbed her.
“The female victim screamed and fought back against the male, who had a hold of her shirt,” Glasgow said. “During the struggle, the male subject grabbed the female’s buttocks. The female victim continued to scream and fought back, which forced the suspect to flee east on Cowell Boulevard.”
The teen ran west on Cowell as she called 911, Glasgow said.
Glasgow described the suspect, who was first seen in the 300 block of Becerra Way, as a Latino male, 25 to 35 years old, standing about 5-foot-10 with a stocky build and short black hair in a “buzz cut.” He wore a white T-shirt and unknown colored pants at the time of the incident.
Anyone with information is urged to call the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
