Davis police arrested a 42-year-old man last week after he allegedly robbed his own sister, police reported Tuesday.
Lt. Paul Doroshov said officers were dispatched at 6:25 p.m. Friday to an assault call in the 4800 block of Chiles Road in South Davis, where the woman reported that she and her brother had been arguing in a car.
When the woman got out of the car to run away, the suspect chased her, took her to the ground and stole her purse, Doroshov said. The woman sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Officers tracked down the suspect, John Paul Burke of Davis, about an hour later and arrested him on suspicion of robbery, Doroshov said.
