Woodland police arrested a 48-year-old Dixon man who allegedly intruded into an occupied home early Saturday morning.
Sgt. Ted Ruiz said officers responded at about 4:25 a.m. to a report of a stranger inside a residence in the 2500 block of Ortiz Avenue, where the homeowner said he awoke to discover a partially clothed man trying to enter an upstairs bedroom.
The resident confronted the man and chased him out of the house, Ruiz said. Officers later saw him run into an open field north of Farmers Central Avenue. A police K-9, Niko, located him hiding under a tree, and he surrendered to officers without incident.
Robert Reed was booked into the Yolo County Jail on suspicion of unlawful entry into an occupied dwelling and being under the influence of narcotics, Ruiz said.
