Davis police are investigating the Monday night robbery of the Verizon store at Davis Commons.
Lt. Glenn Glasgow said a clerk was robbed at about 7 p.m. by a man who entered the 500 First St. business and asked to look at some merchandise.
“While the clerk was assisting with the request, the suspect began to remove merchandise from a storage cabinet,” Glasgow said in a news release. The man alluded to being armed, though no weapon was seen, and he fled south through the parking lot with an undisclosed amount of property.
Glasgow described the suspect as a white male adult, about 5-foot-11 and 215 pounds, with short light-brown hair and an unshaven face. He was last seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt with a white skull and World War II helmet design on the front, blue jeans, and blue and white sneakers.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
