A woman faces assault, burglary and other charges after allegedly being caught stealing from a truck, Davis police said.
Officers were summoned at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to the 4800 block of Chiles Road, where, according to Lt. Tom Waltz, the truck owner spotted the woman stealing change from his vehicle and warned that he would call the police.
Waltz said the woman ran to her car and backed it up as the victim stood behind it, but he moved out of the way before being struck. Officers apprehended her a short distance away, where she reportedly was found with stolen property from other vehicles.
Natalia Ivanovna Prikhodko, 33, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, burglary, receiving stolen property, petty theft with a prior and possession of a controlled substance.
