About 30 bicyclists were treated for hypothermia symptoms Saturday morning while participating a triathlon in the Napa area, Cal Fire officials reported.
Cal Fire spokeswoman Suzie Blankenship said the emergency response began at about 10:15 a.m. with an accident in the 7600 block of Berryessa Knoxville Road involving a solo bicyclist, who was transported to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
The temperature at the time was 37 degrees, and the bicyclists with hypothermia symptoms were transported to designated warming centers for treatment. All subsequently were released.
